The European Scientific Institute (ESI) is a non-profit association of 19 European institutions, universities, companies, hospitals and therapy centres from larger Europe. Sited on the border between France and Switzerland, at the "Centre Universitaire de Formation et de Recherche"  in Archamps, very close to Geneva, ESI was founded in 1994.

The ordinary members of ESI are universities, companies or research institutions. This allows them to send students to ESI Schools with privileged conditions. They can influence the evolution of the institute as well as use the network of European universities which already constitute ESI.
